Most Common Site Problems

PROBLEM The site forgot who I am! It still asks me to register, even though I have already registered!

SOLUTION When you register for the first time, the site places a "cookie" on your machine that contains your name. Every subsequent visit that you make to the site, the site reads that cookie, and recognizes that you have been here before. It takes your name, and adds it to the "Welcome Back" statement at the top of the screen. If, for some reason, you delete your cookies, or reformat your hard drive, etc., then that cookie becomes lost, and the site no longer can read your cookie. Therefore, the system assumes that you have not been here before. If this is the case with you now, you can re-register to re-enable your cookies.

Right this minute, the system thinks that you are Unknown.

Since you are unknown, you need to re-register using one of the following methods:

If you ARE NOT listed in the registry found here, then you should register here.
If you ARE listed in the registry, you can re-register here.

PROBLEM I can't make posts on the bulletin board, even though I am registered!

SOLUTION Unfortunately, the bulletin board works on a separate registration system. This is because the bulletin board is a standalone product that was installed on the site, as opposed to being programmed by me, personally. This means that you need a separate username and password specifically for the bulletin board. If you need to register to use the bulletin board, you can do so here.

PROBLEM I can't see the whole site when I use Netscape Navigator!

SOLUTION I am aware of some of the problems with Netscape users. All of the Netscape problems that I am aware of, however, are resolved when the user upgrades to version 7 or higher of Netscape Navigator. Since it is typically just a matter of time before users of these older browsers upgrade, I will not be spending an inordinate amount of time making the site compatible with older browsers.
